The Wrexham-based construction firm behind the development of the new Llangollen Health Centre in Wales has been chosen to deliver a second medical facility in the area.
Read Construction will lead building work on the new £5m centre in Flint as part of its ongoing relationship with the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
The £5m health centre will be a focal point for the local community to access health and wellbeing services in a modern, purpose-built facility.
In addition to the existing range of GP and community health services, the two-storey primary care centre will provide other services such as physiotherapy, adult mental health, and an expanded range of consultant-led outpatient clinics.
Read has recently delivered a similar project for the health board - the £3.2m Llangollen Health Centre, which has been nominated for a LABC Quality Award.
Ben Sidney, project manager at the health board, said: “We are looking forward to working with Read Construction again on this significant project and building on our existing relationship following the completion of Llangollen Health Centre.”
