United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has launched a public consultation on proposals to relocate Skegness Urgent Treatment Centre from its current site at Skegness Hospital.
Under the proposal, the UTC would move into a clinical area within the existing Skegness Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC), while remaining in Skegness.
The Trust said there would be no changes to the care provided or the centre's opening hours as part of the proposed move.
Instead, the relocation would provide the UTC with a modern, purpose-designed clinical environment and greater flexibility to respond to future demand.
The Trust is now seeking views from patients, staff, local residents, partners and other stakeholders before decisions are made on the relocation and the final design and layout of the proposed facility.
The consultation survey is open until 29 October 2026.
How will the feedback be used for future plans?
The Trust has explained that feedback would be used to inform decisions about the future location of the UTC and what matters most to the local population.
The Skegness UTC currently provides treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, including sprains and strains, suspected broken limbs, bites and stings, eye problems, feverish illness and minor burns.
The service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The proposed relocation comes as the NHS continues to expand and strengthen urgent care capacity outside traditional emergency department settings.
In April, the Government confirmed £215.5m of funding for 40 new and expanded urgent and same-day emergency care services across England, including 10 new and four expanded UTCs.
