ACA recently hosted a site visit for healthcare architects, providing an opportunity to view progress on the development and discuss the design and delivery of a mental extension project at Witham Court in Lincoln.
The project will extend the existing Witham Court site in North Hykeham, which provides specialist services for older adults, including people living with dementia and mental health conditions.
The latest project represents further investment in the Witham Court estate.
In May 2026, Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust awarded professional services for the Witham Court Extension, with quantity surveying and project management support commissioned for the scheme through to September 2026.
Witham Court is operated by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and incorporates inpatient services for older people with mental health needs.
The site includes Brant Ward, an 18-bed inpatient unit for older adults with functional mental health conditions, alongside services for people with dementia.
The ACA update comes as the extension project moves through its delivery programme, with the site visit offering a view of the development during construction and bringing together architects specialising in healthcare design.
Another mental health project from ACA
As the Witham Court mental health extension continues to take shape, ACA has also recently completed a mental health facility in Doncaster.
In March, ACA completed the refurbishment of the Phoenix High Dependency Rehabilitation Unit for Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust.
The £1.5m project was delivered over seven months while parts of the unit remained in use, requiring careful planning to maintain safety and minimise disruption.
