“Women in particular do not like to think they snore. There’s a stigma attached to it, yet they account for 40% of all snorers,” said Dr Martin Allen, a consultant physician at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire and a spokesperson for the British Lung Foundation.
His comment is one of many that have been made recently highlighting the rapidly-growing awareness among women that they snore - and that it’s not just a male problem.
More and more current UK research statistics show that women are heading in increased numbers to their GP, dentist or health clinic looking for a solution to this worrying situation.
Now British firm, Meditas, which produces SleepPro, a range of mouthpieces to help prevent the serious health problems caused by heavy snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea, has launched SleepPro Woman, which has been specially designed with women in mind.
The mouthpiece is a version of the SleepPro Standard, which has a 97% success rating among all customers and full NHS approval status for treating snoring.
The device helps to open airways open while people sleep, allowing the free flow of air through the nose and mouth and putting an end to sleepless nights and low-quality sleep.
This uniquely-targeted product is produced appropriately in pink, and is the very first anti-snoring mouthpiece specifically produced for women.
