Advanced’s online referral facilitation and clinical assessment solutions selected for GPSoC Lot 2

Advanced Health & Care (Advanced) has been named as an approved supplier for Lot 2 of the new GP Systems of Choice (GPSoC) framework.

GPSoC funds GP IT systems for 75% of practices in England and is procured by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) on behalf of NHS England.

Advanced is one of 30 suppliers to have been selected for the framework, which focuses on additional IT services that support the GP practice, including software, office hardware, training and consultancy.

Under this framework Advanced will provide Odyssey Patient Assess, a telephone clinical assessment solution that supports GP receptionists to prioritise patients and practice nurses to carry out triage and clinical assessments. By enabling users to deal with calls quickly and efficiently, Odyssey can help to reduce costs, free up staff time and resources, and increase patient satisfaction.

Advanced will also offer Pathfinder, an online referral facilitation and clinical communication solution that enables effective referral management covering almost 200 conditions from general practice to specialist and community services. Using an evidence-based approach the innovative solution supports consistent care across a locality or region, and will significantly improve care and outcomes, whilst providing considerable cost savings.

Jim Chase, managing director of Advanced Health & Care, said: “We are very pleased to join this framework which represents a major step forward in delivering choice and interoperability between systems in primary care. We are especially pleased to be the first provider of clinical decision support under the framework.”

Services under Lot 2 of the framework must be locally funded and ordered through a call-off agreement. This will allow ordering parties to negotiate some of the contract terms relating to delivery of services, such as service management and implementation provisions.
