Tenders in for flagship dementia housing scheme
Hull City Council to decide on development partner
A number of developers have expressed an interest in plans to create a flagship new extra care housing scheme for people with dementia.
Pre-qualification questionnaires have been returned and are currently being evaluated for the £220m development for Hull City Council.
The deal covers the design, construction, finance and operation of the scheme, which is being procured through a PFI process.
Once built, it will provide 215 extra care housing units and is expected to become a centre of excellence for dementia PFI.
Tender documents are due to be issued towards the end of the year, with the successful contractor being appointed in January 2014, with work starting on site in April 2014.
