As a trusted partner to the NHS Teal has recently supplied healthcare furniture to Nightingale Hospitals across the country. As part of the national emergency response the hospitals are helping to provide cover for the projected increase in patients likely to need these services.
In this time critical environment UK manufacturing has played a crucial part in tackling the crisis, with Lancashire based Teal, part of The Senator Group, fast-tracking its vital medical healthcare furniture through its in-house design and manufacturing facilities.
“In a three-way collaboration Teal has had to show a flexible and agile approach. It’s all thanks to the amazing support from our skilled and dedicated employees, supply chain partners and through close collaboration with inspiring healthcare professionals throughout the NHS. At times we have also utilised the British Army to help speed the delivery process” says Sales Director Chris Watson.
Healthcare products supplied by Teal have been at the forefront of the fight against Coronavirus, supplying Affiniti Overbed tables, Cascade bedside lockers and Omega 930 patient chairs with in-built anti-bacterial properties throughout the large-scale critical care hospitals.
NHS Nightingale Hospital London was the first of seven planned hospitals to be opened in England to be supplied by Teal, with similar projects at a 5,000-bed capacity facility at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre and additional sites in Bristol and Exeter. Teal has also equipped projects in Jersey, Llanelli Rugby Club, Wales and the SEC event centre in Glasgow.
