MC780MA Multi Frequency Segmental Body Composition Analyser charts effectiveness of weight loss and exercise programmes

Monitoring the effectiveness of a weight loss or physical activity programme is being made simpler with the launch of the MC780MA Multi Frequency Segmental Body Composition Analyser from Tanita.

The MC780MA uses the latest multi-frequency technology to record a comprehensive range of measurements in just 20 seconds, from segmental fat and muscle mass to basal metabolic rate, visceral fat levels and total body water from the core abdominal area, each arm and leg.

A full body composition analysis will give people a base to start from and each subsequent reading can be used for long-term assessments and progress reports. This will give people the chance to assess how effective their weight loss or physical activity programme is, set progressive targets and modify programmes according to results.

The detailed information enables clients to see even the smallest changes happening to their body, motivating them to continue with their programme and work towards their end goal.

“It’s so important to demonstrate to clients the impact that their weight loss or physical activity programme has on their body and take the focus away from just their weight, as well as set realistic and achievable targets”, said Simon Bradeley, sports performance specialist at Tanita Europe.

“Demonstrating the effectiveness of these programmes can be virtually impossible without a credible measurement tool. Equally, it’s just as important to keep clients motivated to keep them pushing themselves to reach their goals. With the MC780MA, we’re not only showing them the physical effects of their programme, but giving them the encouragement and support needed to keep them on the right track.”

The MC780MA is accredited with NAWI Class III and MDD IIa, has a weighing capacity of up to 270kg and auto calibrates before each and every analysis, ensuring optimum reproducibility of measurements.

All results are shown on an easy-to-read, extra-large LCD display console that can be reversed for confidential readings, or when very obese clients are using the scale.

The inbuilt SD card facility can store more than 10,000 readings on a 2GB SD card, and allows data to be automatically collected and downloaded. Data can also be wirelessly transferred to a PC or Windows tablet and a consultation sheet can be printed automatically for further discussion.

In addition, a client Identify feature allows for client body composition progress to be effortlessly recorded and analysed.
