Returning from the Arab Health Exhibition in Dubai, Haigh is thrilled with the interest shown in its products at the show.
Each year sees that interest and knowledge by customers grow for the increasingly-popular single-use system, which Haigh was at the forefront of developing.
With an established client base worldwide, Haigh has seen its expansion into the global market increase year on year, with an increasing amount of their new business coming from the Middle East.
Looking to bring best practice into healthcare institutions in the region, the Middle East is keen to implement a system that improves infection control as well as being cost and energy efficient; all of which are achievable with Haigh’s single-use system.
Each year we are seeing our industry colleagues becoming increasingly knowledgeable of the benefits of the single-use system and more and more hospitals keen to see them installed
In attendance at the event for Haigh was Nick Dale, healthcare sales manager. Commenting on Arab Health, he said: “Each year we are seeing our industry colleagues becoming increasingly knowledgeable of the benefits of the single-use system and more and more hospitals keen to see them installed. We have forged great relationships over the last few years through our attendance at Arab Health and each year we have fulfilled orders as a result of the show. Since last year’s exhibition we have won tenders to supply a number of hospitals with our Panaway bedpan macerator in the Middle East. Our distributors have had training and can offer all the support and after care needed.”
Twelve months into his role as international business development manager, David Meek, said: “We received a great level of interest in our Panaway and SOLO macerators that we were able to demonstrate on our stand and met with many new delegates while meeting up with existing contacts. One of the biggest shows we attend, it is a must on our events calendar with the opportunities to support hospitals in the region expanding all the time”.
Managing director, Mark Brian, added: “The healthcare market on an international level is a huge growth area for us and we are confident that we will continue to see expansion in the Middle East. Arab Health provides us with a perfect springboard into this market and the indicators are that it will remain important to us over the years to come. Designing and producing all of our products at our headquarters in Ross-on-Wye, it is a great success story for UK manufacturing.”
We look forward now to following up with the contacts we made this year and are excited about the year ahead.”
