Marsh Court, Leominster
At Marsh Court, we transformed two outdated GP practices into a single, BREEAM Excellent primary care centre designed to bring good health — and a healthy sense of community — to Leominster.
Once a brownfield site, today it’s rooted in Herefordshire’s rural identity — its 20,000 patients met with a warm, welcoming environment connected to nature on all sides.
Shaped by our team’s lived experience of disability, and designed in close collaboration with clinicians and locals, every detail prioritises calm and ease of access. From staff decompression suites to flexible rooms for social prescribing, it’s a blueprint for better, more connected care.
Dartmoor Building, Derriford Hospital
A major milestone in Derriford Hospital’s masterplan, the Dartmoor Building ends the strain on acute and elective care by moving high-turnover outpatient and urgent treatment services away from the hospital’s core.
In place of that pressure, it offers a more serene, intuitive patient journey — while unlocking critical space on site for a new emergency care centre.
Its standardised, flexible clinical rooms allow services to adapt seamlessly as demands change, without disruptive refits. Meanwhile, wall art inspired by Dartmoor’s wildlife sets patients at ease. Together with our work across the estate, it’s building towards more connected, digitally-enabled care across Plymouth.
Emergency Care Building, Derriford Hospital
Where the Dartmoor Building moves high-volume, lower-acuity care out of Derriford Hospital’s core, the new Emergency Care Building makes the complementary move: bringing its most acute services together in one purpose-built facility.
With Devon and Cornwall’s population growing faster than the national average, the recently topped-out 16,000m² building will almost double the hospital’s capacity for treating the highest priority patients.
Diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, and surgical theatres will now sit side by side, with a Same Day Emergency Care facility so patients can be rapidly treated — often returning home the day they arrive and avoiding an unnecessary admission.
