Pipe Center has added commercial sanitaryware to its offering as part of a total support package for contractors.
The supplier has teamed up with Ideal Standard and contractor, Lend Lease, to introduce a comprehensive range of sanitaryware for installation in commercial and public buildings.
Pipe Center is already supplying systems for hospitals as part of ongoing supply contracts. In addition to sluice rooms it is also supplying sanitar ware and fittings for wards and other areas. All equipment is from the Ideal Standard and Armitage Shanks ranges.
Andy McEwan, commercial director of Pipe Center and Climate Center, said: “The addition of sanitaryware alongside our existing M&E range means that we can now supply installers with a complete range of equipment and accessories for major projects.
“It offers significant advantages in terms of logistics and streamlines the whole process of getting the right materials on site at the right time.”
The global market for sanitaryware is forecast to grow from $22billion in 2011 to $33billion by 2016, with sales in Europe predicted to increase by 21%. In the UK, growth is predicted to be slightly lower than the average due to lower levels of refurbishment and new-build activity.
McEwan said: “The industry is under constant pressure to improve efficiency and speed up completion times. Our expanded range and related technical support helps contractors deliver for clients and improve the efficiency of their own business in the process. Working with partners Lend Lease and Ideal Standard, we see this as win-win for all concerned.”
