Hinchingbrooke trust appoints Ryhurst for 15-year strategic estates partnership

Joint-venture agreement will streamline and optimise trust’s estate

  • 15-year joint-venture contract will plan, fund, procure, and project manage individual development projects
  • Work will include estates rationalisation, capital programme planning, raising finance and investment, strategic service transformation planning, procurement, and project/contract management of a range of services
  • Contract is fourth between Ryhurst and UK health trusts

Hinchingbrooke Health Care NHS Trust has appointed Ryhurst as its long-term joint-venture partner to deliver a wide-ranging land and estates strategy for its 40-acre site in Cambridgeshire.

Over an initial 15-year period, the Strategic Estates Partnership (SEP) will re-align the estate to improve patient care for 21st-century needs, while also bringing forward an innovative and sustainable health campus, combining living, care and education plans.

Forming a lean and efficient joint venture company, the partners will plan, fund, procure, and project manage individual development projects as well as oversee the day-to-day responsibility of the trust’s estate.

Through the partnership, the work delivered will include estates rationalisation, capital programme planning, raising finance and investment, strategic service transformation planning, procurement, and project/contract management of a range of services, including construction and facilities management.

Ryhurst has already successfully entered into three other SEPs with NHS trusts to help better utilise estate, improve patient experience through the provision of quality buildings, and provide the best-possible value to the taxpayer.
