The new Alitherm Heritage door from Smart Architectural Aluminium offers a modern solution to the problem of replacing traditional steel-framed doors.
The door sits alongside Smart’s established Evolution window range, echoing the systems’ elegant lines and robust performance. Designed specifically to replicate the slim profiles of traditional steel windows and doors, Alitherm Heritage is ideal for sensitive planning areas and for heritage, renovation and refurbishment projects where traditional steel doors and windows have to be replaced.
Providing all the advantages of modern, thermally-broken aluminium profiles, the door delivers a U Value of 1.8 W/m²K when installed with a suitable sealed unit.
Commenting on the product launch, Smart’s managing director, Eddie Robinson, said: “The Alitherm Heritage door is a perfect complement to our Evolution window range, offering a great alternative for commercial and residential renovation projects. We developed the product to replace tired steel windows and doors with a modern, thermally-broken, aluminium equivalent, providing architects and developers with a great solution to a long-standing problem.”
Suitable for both single and double door application, Alitherm Heritage doors are available in a wide range of colours and finishes and in sizes up to 2,100mm x 900mm. All doors are supplied with a traditional single point lock mechanism and face-mounted finger-thrown locking bolts.
