Komfort launches new self-closing K100 hydraulic model

Komfort has launched its new self-closing K100 hydraulic floor pivot, providing architects and specifiers with a rigorously-tested, easy-to-install solution that forms part of its fully-certified range of door and partitioning systems.

Designed to complement frameless glass doors, K100 integrates seamlessly into Komfort’s Single Glazed Polar system. As a single source supplier the company controls the manufacture and supply of all the relevant components, ensuring guaranteed certified performance and an efficient procurement process.

“This product not only has design and usability at its heart, we incorporate it into our comprehensive design, manufacture and installation service, working with architects and contractors to create complete fit-for-purpose solutions,” said Matt Peake of Komfort.

“Its satin stainless steel finish provides a modern, professional aesthetic for occupiers who also benefit from K100’s flexible design, which enables them to adjust closing speeds and break speeds in line with their needs.”

Supplied with a five-year guarantee, K100 is at home in commercial, health and education sectors and has been tested to British Standard EN1154, which verified a durability of 500,000 cycles. Suitable for use with 10mm and 12mm thick toughened glass doors, K100 can withstand a maximum door weight of 100kg and height of 3000mm, dependent on the ironmongery used, which offers architects considerable flexibility.

In addition, the floor-mounted pivot eliminates the need to fit a coffer box and floor spring which speeds up the installation process, reducing fit-out times for contractors.

Peake said: “For installers fitting is simple, which ultimately allows them to be more efficient and move on to the next job quickly. For the building owner this new addition reduces installer time on site, therefore reducing disruption and cost.”
