Neurological innovation highlighted
PATIENTS suffering from long-term neurological conditions are being invited to an event next month where they will be shown the very latest innovative technologies. Organised by Devices for Dignity and the Yorkshire and Humber Association of Neurological Organisations in partnership with the Yorkshire and Humber Health Innovation and Education Cluster (HIEC), the one-day conference will enable patients and NHS staff to learn more about available devices and equipment from industry leaders. A spokesman for the HIEC said: "There are a number of technologies being used in various parts of the health service to support people with long-term neurological conditions to live more independently. To support access to these solutions for all that want them patients, carers and NHS staff need to know what they are, how they work and how to access them. This is an opportunity to see them first hand, provide input on how they could be developed, and understand how they could provide support to patients and their loved ones." The event will be held in Doncaster on 13 September.
