Fujifilm has announce the installation of a state-of-the-art FDR Go mobile X-ray system at Pilgrim Hospital.
Pilgrim Hospital in Boston is part of the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, the largest non-teaching trust in the country, serving a population approaching 700,000.
Following extensive review of the available mobile X-ray systems available on the market, the hospital commissioned Fujifilm’s innovative FDR Go as its new mobile system.
Fujifilm’s FDR Go combines proven reliability with a full range of cassette-sized panels. With the assistance of Fujifilm’s Console Advance or Go Flex systems, panels can be shared across general X-ray rooms and mobiles while providing the added benefits of improved workflow and reduced cost.
Commenting on the installation, Nigel Allen, radiology services manager at Pilgrim Hospital, said: “We had already experienced the superb quality of Fujifilm’s D-EVO and Console Advance, so when we found out Fujifilm were releasing the FDR Go we wanted a demonstration.
“We found the image quality of the FDR Go to be superb, and the flexibility in the way it allows the same detectors to be used in both room and mobile settings, which was a deciding factor.”
