The Whiteley Homes Trust prepares to launch new 500-room care facility in Surrey

Innova Care Concepts has won an order worth £320,000 to supply furniture to the Whiteley Village Care Centre.

Based in Walton on Thames, the Whiteley Village Care Centre is a purpose-built facility spread over 225 acres of Surrey countryside and housing around 500 older people in both retirement and care properties.

The village will be expanding this year with a new care home, and Innova will be the sole supplier of all loose and fitted furnishings.

Innova was recommended for the project after the company supplied and installed a range of equipment at Woking and Sam Beare Hospice – just a stone’s throw away from Whiteley Village.

Sales director, Joe Hulbert, said: “We’re seeing a great shift now as more and more high-end retirement and care facilities are being built all over the UK.

“These sorts of places need all kinds of quality care equipment that will meet the needs of their clients, without looking too clinical or out of place.”

He worked closely with Innova’s interior designer to create completely-unique mood boards for all different areas within the new care home.

And together they co-ordinated furniture, colours, and fabrics for 30 different bedrooms.

Each will have an Innova Liberta care bed that has been designed to blend in with any domestic décor.

Innova has also put together plans for two communal lounge/dining areas as well as the reception, café, and hair salon. The company even created bespoke riser recliner chairs.

Innova will begin delivering and installing its equipment next month, with the home due to open later this year.
