Innova Care Concepts has secured an with Spire Healthcare Group worth £75,000 to provide furniture for its London East Hospital.
Having recently been added to the Spire Healthcare suppliers list, Innova was invited to trial its Interlude hospital bed range at the campus.
Spire emphasized that it needed beds to suit standard ward patients, children, and plus-sized individuals.
And the hospital wanted all these beds to be supplied by one company.
Having smaller-sized beds for the children’s ward was a key element of the contract; and the hospital now uses a narrow, more-compact version of the Interlude Newcare product.
Joe Hulbert, sales director at Innova, said: “Our work with Spire Healthcare Group is just one way we’re expanding within hospitals across the country.
“We’ve supplied about 80 beds to them so far and they’ve given us some great feedback from both their staff and their patients.”
The team delivered 26 Interlude Newcare V3 beds for standard wards, five Interlude Newcare narrow beds for the paediatrics ward; and one Interlude Platinum in a wide version for the bariatric ward.
This expansion into the private hospital market follows Innova’s recent work with NHS hospitals in England, Scotland, and Wales.
Another key factor in Innova winning the order was the company’s flexibility on branding.
As part of the Spire Healthcare Group, the hospital wanted the footends of its beds to have its colours and branding on them. Innova came up with a design that can be customised to any Spire hospital in the country.
