Imerja awarded with Commercial N3 Aggregator status
Supplier can assess and approve applications from commercial and third-party providers wanting to connect to the N3 network
Imerja has been awarded status of Commercial N3 Aggregator by The Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC).
An established N3 Approved Supplier delivering services to NHS customers, Imerja has now been selected to join a small group of assured service providers that can assess and approve applications from commercial and third-party providers wanting to connect to the N3 network.
This means Imerja can enable third-party suppliers to supply services to hospitals, medical centres and GPs with greater efficiency, enhanced security and at lower cost than if procured as individual connections.
Set up in 2004, the N3 network is the national broadband network for the NHS, providing secure connectivity to hospitals, clinics and surgeries, as well as access to a range of solution and services such as digital X-rays and clinical Video-as-a-Service.
Imerja’s managing director, Ian Jackson, said: “We have been delivering services into the NHS for over 10 years, but as an N3 Aggregator we can now offer third parties the ability to deliver their own services over a secure connection using Imerja’s approved infrastructure. In effect, we’ve done the hard work for others to enable them to connect to the NHS internal network, providing assurance that all information governance and security regulations are being met.”
