Berendsen has launched new product collections and service packages designed to make the selection and hire of linen and laundry services even easier for hospitals.
A reliable supply of linen is critical to the everyday running of any hospital or healthcare organisation. Berendsen’s linen collections and hire process makes it easy for organisations to identify and order the right linen products for the facility and its budget.
Product collections are streamlined into Essential, Essential Extras and Select Collections. Ambulance, Bariatric, Infection Control, Curtains and Operating Theatre Packages are also available, providing easy-to-select linen options for the full breadth of healthcare service requirements. In addition, Berendsen offers bespoke items that can be provided specifically for a healthcare facility, including branded scrubs, in a variety of colours.
Examples of how items are now classified include day-to-day items such as sheets, towels and patient nightwear in the Essentials Collection, while more-specialist products such as bariatric gowns and slide sheets are available in the Essentials Extra Collection. The items in the Select Collection offer an additional level of quality and comfort, plus high-end Cherokee scrubs.
Commenting on how these changes will benefit customers, Paul Swift, business development manager at Berendsen, said: “This simplified approach to linen hire is very much based on customer feedback asking for a range of products tailored to the varying needs of medical facilities and their patients. It’s organised into collections and packages in order to make clear the product and service choices available. Our customer relationship management teams have wide experience of both NHS and private hospitals in their areas and can provide advice on which textile products are most suitable for different practices and environments.”
A further service offering is Berendsen Connect, a digital portal that allows healthcare customers to order and control their stock online, as well as viewing and printing off collection and delivery notes.
