Fujifilm UK has announced an agreement with BMI Healthcare to act as its preferred provider of digital X-ray equipment to all hospitals throughout the UK.
Over the term of the contract Fujifilm will install over 20 digital X-ray rooms and will also supply all digital mobile X-ray units.
BMI Healthcare selected the Fujifilm Visionary Suite room solution for the nationwide digital X-ray upgrade.
The Visionary Suite’s sleek design includes auto-positioning, which provides operators with precision control and flexibility.
Fujifilm’s unique D-EVO II detectors and patented image processing tools Dynamic Visualization II and Virtual Grid combine to provide, not only exceptional image quality, but also detectors which are lightweight, waterproof and protected by Hydro AG anti-bacterial coating.
These technologies provide clinicians with superior image quality alongside significant dose reductions for patients.
For itsportable imaging needs BMI Healthcare will benefit from Fujifilm’s family of mobile X-ray systems, which incorporate the full range of imaging and detector features.
The FDR nano, which is super-lightweight and agile, offers a unique solution in mobile imaging, and the conventional FDR Go PLUS delivers traditional mobile X-ray. Both systems will be deployed across the BMI Healthcare estate.
With several rooms already installed, BMI Healthcare has seen improvements at a number of hospitals.
Workflow efficiencies are achieved with the three detector set-up and Console Advance solutions, which are included as standard with Fujifilm’s Visionary Suite rooms.
BMI Healthcare also reports improvements in image quality, dose reduction, speed of use with enhanced throughput, and improved patient experience.
