Essity, the world’s largest provider of professional hygiene products which manufactures and supplies under the Tork brand, has appointed Olivia Slater as the new Commercial Director for its Professional Hygiene business unit in the UK and Republic of Ireland (ROI).
Slater will spearhead the Professional Hygiene sales team and oversee all commercial decisions for the division across the regions.
With over three decades of experience in the packaging and food and beverage industries, Slater brings with her a diverse range of industry expertise and Slater joins Essity from paper bag manufacturer, Smith Anderson, where she served over nine years as sales director.

Slater also has a varied background working with FMCG giants such as Unilever, Rank Hovis McDougall, and Heineken.
Essity offers a diverse range of hygiene and healthcare products through its established household and professional brands, including TENA, Bodyform, and Cushelle.
The Tork brand offers professional hygiene products and services to customers ranging from restaurants and healthcare facilities to offices, schools, and industries. Products include dispensers, paper towels, toilet tissue, soap, napkins, and industrial and kitchen wipers. Through expertise in hygiene, functional design and sustainability, Tork has become a market leader.

Slater's appointment comes following the appointment of Nicola Conway as commercial director for Essity’s consumer goods business in the UK and ROI, and Kate Prince as senior public affairs manager for the UK and ROI.
