Green construction innovator, Dura Products, has announced the appointment of Andy Robinson who will be joining the team as business development manager.
Robinson will be filling a newly-created role, designed to support the organisation in its next phase of growth.
His key focus will be to promote Dura products’ innovative range of recycled plastic kerbs and drainage systems.
The goal will be to increasingly reach local authorities, merchants, designers, and housebuilders, among other sectors, demonstrating the sustainable credentials of the products and the many benefits over traditional kerbs and drainage systems.
Robinson’s sector experience means he is well placed to deliver in the role as he has a strong understanding of the need for more-sustainable manufacturing and the industry requirements for reducing carbon emissions and diverting products from landfill.
Prior to joining Dura Products, Robinson spent the last decade working for a variety of cement manufacturers, including Ecocem, a low-carbon cement producer based in Dublin; and concrete block manufacturer, Cheshire Concrete Products.
He has also worked with Hanson Cement, part of the Heidelberg group, promoting its reduced carbon cement to merchants and groundwork contractors.
Steve Bennett, managing director of Dura Products, said: “We are thrilled to have Andy joining our team.
“His wealth of experience across the manufacturing industry and knowledge of sustainable practices in the sector will help to uplevel our offering and provide invaluable consultancy to our customers.
“The industry is currently striving to be as sustainable as possible and at Dura Products, we are the go-to experts for sustainable kerbs and drainage products.
“Andy will be instrumental in helping to drive brand awareness for the business and increase market share through a variety of channels.”
Robinson added: “I’m excited to be joining such a forward-thinking, progressive business which is firmly focused on protecting our planet.
“I’m confident that my skills and experience in sustainable manufacturing will be a perfect match for the operations at Dura Products, and I’m looking forward to making a difference.”
