David Bailey Furniture Systems (DBFS), have been chosen by Bouygues UK to provide furniture for the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) flagship new cancer and surgical facility.
The contract covers the supply and installation of approximately 5,000 items of furniture manufactured at the DBFS facility in Broadstairs, Kent together with the installation of approximately 4,500 items of assisted furniture and equipment provided by the UCLH.
The healthcare furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) package contains clinical furniture including floor and wall units, worktops and shelving for clean/dirty utilities rooms and treatment rooms.
In addition, the contract covers staff bases and reception desks manufactured to bespoke designs.DBFS is also supplying the bespoke fitted bedroom furniture for both NHS and HCA wards spanning over 90 bedrooms.
And the contract covers the supply and installation of fitted furniture across 10 floors of the new facility over the next few months.

The fitted furniture is built to meet the Department of Health’s HTM 63 standard, with modular storage meeting HTM 71 specifications.
