The newly completed sensory room at Craigavon Area Hospital’s Bluestone Unit offers patients a dedicated space for therapeutic support

Creative Activity Group, a Northern Ireland-based specialist in the design and installation of sensory rooms, has installed a sensory room in the Bluestone Unit at Craigavon Area Hospital.

Craigavon Area Hospital is part of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland.

The new sensory room is designed to provide a calming and therapeutic environment for patients requiring sensory regulation and relaxation.

The room aims to support patients with conditions such as autism, anxiety, and sensory processing disorders by offering a safe and soothing environment. 

Features include interactive lighting, tactile surfaces, and calming visual stimuli, all tailored to promote relaxation and emotional well-being.

This installation at Craigavon Area Hospital underscores the growing emphasis on incorporating sensory environments within healthcare settings to enhance patient care and support diverse needs.
