Construction Industry Council Climate Change Committee appoints new chair

The Construction Industry Council Climate Change Committee has appointed Mina Hasman as its new Chair

Mina Hasman has been appointed the new Chair of the Construction Industry Council (CIC) Climate Change Committee.

Hasman was previously serving as the Deputy Chair of the committee and she succeeds Stephen Hodder MBE, who has commendably led the committee since its inception.

As the Sustainability Director of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM), Hasman brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to sustainability and climate action.

In her role at SOM, the global architecture and engineering practice, Hasman leads the firm’s sustainability and wellbeing daily operations and long-term vision.

More broadly, Hasman has been instrumental in driving forward the agenda of sustainability within the construction industry at large. 

As a recognised expert in environmental design, Hasman’s leadership and expertise have been pivotal in various organisations and initiatives aimed at reducing the industry's carbon footprint and promoting sustainable practices.
