Check Point Software appoints new regional director and CISO and C-suite advisor
Adam Bradley to unlock further revenue growth in the UK and Ireland market, while former NHS Scotland CISO, Deryck Mitchelson, will shape security strategies across EMEA
Check Point Software Technologies has announced two senior appointments with Adam Bradley joining as regional director of the UK and Ireland and former NHS Scotland CISO, Deryck Mitchelson, taking on the role of field CISO and C-Suite advisor for the EMEA region.
In his new role Bradley will lead and expand Check Point´s sales organisation in response to the growing demand to protect against cyber threats.
He has over 20 years experience in the cyber security sector, including more than a decade in regional business development leadership.
And, with more than 30 years experience, and having recently been recognised as one of the UK’s most-influential CISOs, Mitchelson joins Check Point after serving as national digital and chief information security officer for NHS Scotland.
As field CISO and C-Suite advisor, he will focus on building executive level relationships, understanding strategy and challenges, and using the Check Point differential to address cyber risks and gaps, enabling transformation and growth.
Check Point Software has more than 170 employees in UK and Ireland who work with over 300 partners across the region to protect customers from ever-growing cyber threats.
According to Check Point research, UK companies experienced, on average, 399 cyberattacks per week in 2021, marking a 103% increase from 2020.
Globally, there was a 50% increase in cyber attacks, and healthcare operators are particularly-popular victims.
“It is fantastic to welcome two senior industry players to Check Point Software” said Thorsten Freitag, vice president of sales.
“Our strategic direction is built around companies deserving the best security and both Adam and Deryck will use their deep knowledge and expertise to advise entities about the best security strategies required for their digital transformation.”
