Britplas, a Northwest-based commercial glazing specialist, is now employee-owned. Owners Kevin Gorman and John Blackwell have transferred 100% of their equity in Britplas companies to its Employee Ownership Trust (EOT).
An EOT is a legal entity that holds a stake in a company on behalf of its employees and the transaction was completed on 5 September 2024.
The move is said to be a significant milestone in Britplas' sustainable growth and employee empowerment journey.

Britplas, whose head office and manufacturing facility are located in Warrington, is primarily known for its Safevent anti-ligature window which was specially developed for use in mental health environments.
The company also designs, manufactures and installs glazed façades for commercial buildings nationwide.
Britplas Group Managing Director, John Blackwell, said: "The move to an EOT model is a hugely positive step for Britplas and its employees, which now stand at over 100.
