Preston-based Bespoke Healthcare has appointed Dr Sunil Angris to the position of clinical director, with a brief to promote the company's core NHS diagnostic services and develop the recently-acquired Sandon House Clinic.
Dr Angris joins from Waterhouses Medical Practice, Staffordshire, where he held the position of senior partner from 1991 up to the sale of the practice in 2013. He qualified from The University of Nottingham Medical School in 1986.
In a distinguished career he has held the posts of clinical director for elective care at North Staffordshire Clinical Commissioning Group, clinical chairman for North Staffordshire PCT, and was a member of the first technical appraisals committee for the National Institute for Health & Care Excellence (NICE).
Bespoke Healthcare is currently the leading independent provider of nerve conduction study tests and intra-operative monitoring services for the NHS, and Dr Angris will be responsible for targeted growth in hospitals throughout the UK.
In addition he will play a crucial role in the development of services at Sandon House Clinic. Alongside plastic and cosmetic clinic services, plans for the site include a move into general daycare surgery and investigative procedures for patients from hospitals, CCGs and GPs in the North West.
Bespoke Healthcare secured Sandon House Clinic in January, with the CQC-registered premises in Millennium City Park including two state-of-the-art theatre suites, two further dedicated treatment, and consulting rooms and private recovery areas.
Gwam Rajiah, managing director for Bespoke Healthcare, said: "This is a true statement of intent, we will not only work with the NHS in the North West to streamline patient pathways, provide care out of hospital and reduce waiting times, it will be done with a renowned clinical lead at the helm.
