Experienced healthcare leader, Steve Peak, who specialises in strategic and operational change, and service and performance improvement, has begun working with Vanguard Healthcare as a business development director.
With 24 years' experience within the acute hospital sector, latterly as chief executive and executive director in large acute/specialist teaching hospitals, his knowledge and expertise in the health sector will be invaluable in his new role with Vanguard, the operator of the world's-largest fleet of temporary surgical facilities.
Peak has held numerous board level positions for more than 10 years and has been part of, or led, teams delivering major clinical service reconfiguration within a number of acute hospitals.
He is currently an associate lecturer at Keele University, where he speaks on health policy and leadership to a range of clinical leadership courses; non-executive director for Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust and an associate director for Capita's Health Advisory practice.
Ian Gillespie, chief executive of Vanguard Healthcare, said: "We'd like to welcome Steve to the Vanguard team and very much look forward to seeing what strategic advice he can offer our business as we continue our growth across Europe and further afield, so it's an exciting time to join us. His extensive knowledge of hospital systems, given his operational and performance management experience, is just one of the strengths he brings to the team. We look forward to working with him."
