The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has appointed IBI Group to develop long-term plans for both its hospital sites.
The contract is for a 12-month period and follows a competitive tender process.
IBI’s work will involve analysing the level of clinical activity and the current resources at both trust hospitals – Mount Vernon and Hillingdon - and future plans and strategies. This will include looking at the number of emergency admissions, the number of patients attending outpatient clinics, as well as an evaluation of the trust space constraints and the condition of the estate.
They will then outline a blueprint for future development that will seek to make best use of the trust’s assets to provide an improved hospital environment.
Over the next few months they will be meeting with staff, managers and stakeholders to understand how services are currently delivered.
The trust’s chief executive, Shane DeGaris, said: “We are looking forward to working with IBI Group. Their previous experience will be invaluable in helping to ensure that we make the very best use of the trust’s assets for the future.”
“We’re delighted to be working with the trust to shape the future of healthcare at Hillingdon’s hospitals,” added Tony Burley of IBI Group.
“As a local resident, I am keen that we deliver a robust long-term vision to dramatically improve the way healthcare is delivered by the trust.”
