Brandon Medical, a multi-award-winning designer and manufacturer of medical equipment, has appointed Sue Roberts to its board of directors.
Roberts joined Brandon Medical just over a year ago and has been serving as the acting operations director.
With over 30 years of experience in senior operational and director positions for award-winning manufacturers across a variety of disciplines, she was unanimously elected to the board in recognition of her expertise and leadership skills.
Before joining Brandon Medical, Roberts worked for the UK Government, developing a strategy for SMEs to trade internationally.
She also transformed a medical device manufacturing business into profit and served as the head of operations for a market-making telecoms manufacturer that was sold to a blue-chip American company for $30m dollars.
In addition to her impressive background in manufacturing, she is also a STEM ambassador, working closely with young people to develop careers in the industry, and serves as a panel member for Cancer Research UK, supporting fundraising efforts across Yorkshire.
“I am honoured to officially join the board of directors at Brandon Medical,” she said.
“I am excited to continue working alongside the team to drive innovation and deliver value to our customers and stakeholders.”
As a member of the board, Roberts brings her extensive experience and expertise in manufacturing and leadership to help steer the strategic direction of Brandon Medical.
“We are thrilled to have Sue join the board,” said Brandon Medical’s chairman, Graeme Hall.
“Her proven leadership skills and expertise in manufacturing will help us continue to grow and achieve our goals and we look forward to working closely with her to drive innovation and create value for our customers and stakeholders.”
