SimonsVoss, an electronic lock manufacturer and brand of Allegion, has launched a new keyless locking system named MobileKey in the UK.
MobileKey is suitable for a variety of buildings, including commercial offices and healthcare applications.
It provides state-of-the-art technology and offers the end user simple, keyless locking by replacing a traditional lock with an electronic cylinder and standard keys with a transponder, PIN-code keypad or an app on users’ own smartphones.
The system is highly secure, offering facility managers and those in charge of buildings sophisticated access control and complete peace of mind. MobileKey enables facility managers to tailor a full system specifically on their preferences and gives them the ability to grant specific access, and have time schedules, event logging and door monitoring at their fingertips.
Implementing the MobileKey is easy as it doesn’t require any cabling or drilling. It’s flexible and convenient, so should a transponder be missing, reprogramming is easy, with no need to replace locks or keys.
The SimonsVoss Mobilekey is a low-maintenance, low-cost and fully-secure way to control a building’s access, and, with a 10-year battery life, facility managers can take away the stress of current everyday security.
Ludger Voss, chief technology officer at SimonsVoss, said: “Electronic remote control keys for cars has become standard practice – so why not apply this principle to buildings? The SimonsVoss MobileKey is an affordable and inexpensive way to protect your building and its occupants.
“Better yet, the system uses electronic door cylinders instead of mechanical ones and can be fitted with no cabling or drilling required, causing minimal disruption to current occupants or visitors to your building.”
