Cognitant Group, creator of the Healthinote platform, has appointed Richard Grethe as its newest non-executive director.
Grethe joins the company to accelerate its growth plans and maintain strong relationships with the pharma and life sciences industries, which play an important role in the development of its digital health information solutions.
And his appointment is intended to drive innovation in patient engagement programmes and empower people to better understand and manage their health.
Already, these programmes have been able to improve people’s knowledge of their health conditions by 70% and reduce avoidable complications.
Grethe has spent more than 30 years in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, most recently as chief financial officer, then non-executive director for medical animation company, Random42.
At Cognitant, he will play an important role in co-creating its accessible health information, which is available in multiple formats such as video, print, games, and virtual and augmented reality.
He said: “I am completely inspired by the team at Cognitant and am thrilled to be a part of the journey.
“I am excited to bring my experience in growing a medical animation company to the table so we can continue co-creating personalised, reliable health information in innovative ways, improving care, and saving lives.
Dr Tim Ringrose, chief executive, added: “Richard’s deep expertise in the pharma and life sciences industries will help us to continue collaborating with these sectors so we improve the management of long-term conditions for the benefit of everyone.
