Phyllis Tuckwell has announced plans to build a new 16m hospice in Farnham to replace the existing one

Phyllis Tuckwell, the only hospice care service for adult patients, and their families, living with terminal illnesses across the whole of West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire, is building a new £16m hospice

The new purpose-built hospice will replace the existing hospice. It will be larger, better equipped and offer a range of new and improved facilities that will be able to help tens of thousands more people in these areas.

Demand for these services is at an all-time high and there is an urgent need for additional palliative care in these areas.

The current hospice was built over 90 years ago, and is no longer fit for purpose.

However, during the building works, the hospice continues to provide a full range of services from specially adapted temporary accommodation.

The new hospice will also provide greater levels of comfort, privacy and dignity to patients and their families.
