Panasonic has officially launched the 4K Ultra HD Micro Camera. – the GP-UH532
The 4K micro camera has 3840x2160 resolution at 50p/60p and is capable of outputting images at up to 1600 TV lines, for smooth, detailed pictures and accurate colour reproduction. It features various HDMI and SDI outputs.
Patrick Linder, European product manager at Panasonic Industrial Medical Vision, said: “As the 4K micro camera offers a 4K/2K simultaneous dual channel output, it enables customers to use an existing 2K infrastructure without using a down converter to create a 2K signal. Multiple systems can be built up and combined with the 4K micro camera to create a customised solution. This simultaneous output possibility makes it a cost-effective solution.”
The camera features the smallest third-of-and-inch camera head on the market and because the micro camera complies with Medical Electrical Standards IEC60601 (Medical Standard IEC60601-1/IEC60601-1-2), it can be used in a variety of medical applications.
“The 4K micro camera provides colour enhancement technology as well as the possibility to store up to six personal profiles on a USB memory,” said Margarita Zoussevitch, European marketing manager at Panasonic.
“The operator can benefit from the new user-friendly layout and the ease of implementation for a variety of applications. Overall, the GP-UH532 is an example of ground-breaking micro camera technology.”
