BIM objects cover majority of InPro wall protection range

Contract interiors specialist, Gradus, has launched its first Building Information Modelling (BIM) objects.

Designed to meet with increasing pressure for specifiers and contractors to work with BIM building practices, Gradus has launched BIM objects for the majority of its InPro wall protection range.

The BIM objects available include the Sanparrel sheet, rubrails, kickplates, pushplates, handrails, combi-rails, Dual Rail, wall guards, wall strips; corner guards and bed protectors.

Gradus’ BIM objects provide up-to-date, accurate data about products. Essentially, BIM is a way of working underpinned by the creation, collation and exchange of shared 3D models, with structured data attached. By bringing together the different disciplines involved in a building’s development and facilitating the use of a shared model, it is hoped that the building process will become rationalised and streamlined.

Lynette Bowden, marketing project manager at Gradus, said: “With the increasingly-important role that BIM is playing in the industry, it was critical for us to develop objects that could support specifiers and help to improve efficiencies in the construction industry. We are excited to have launched our first BIM objects and have plans to provide our customers with more BIM objects in the future.”

Gradus’ BIM objects are available to download for free from Bimstore.
