Halifax hospital installs Fujifilm’s D-Evo II Retrofit room solution

Staff at Calderdale Royal Hospital in Halifax have been enjoying the benefits of a recent DR upgrade with Fujifilm’s D-Evo II Retrofit room solution.

“The staff are really happy with the new equipment”, said Nicola Stephenson, general radiology team lead at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.

“We’ve been able to speed up workflow and it’s given the department a real buzz as we’re able to deliver a much-better service.

“We have improved patient flow through both the main department and A&E, which is of paramount importance, especially at a time of winter pressures.“

Fujifilm’s Retrofit offers a cost -ffective solution that allows hospitals to upgrade old CR equipment to DR with the minimum of disruption.

Calderdale’s sister hospital, Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, also upgraded with the Retrofit solution last year and had purchased an FDR Go mobile the year before.

The full suite of D-Evo II detectors used across the trust also includes Virtual Grid, which delivers exceptional image quality at low doses. In addition, it enables radiographers to improve workflow efficiency by eliminating the need for a physical grid and hence speeding up examinations.
