Hicom Technology awarded place as software supplier for G-Cloud 6
Healthcare IT solutions and services specialist will offer its services within the government initiative
Hicom has been awarded a place on the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) G-Cloud 6 agreement.
The provider has been appointed to the Software-as-a-Service tier and joins a host of other organisations providing specialist services to the public sector.
The G-Cloud programme has been developed to support government departments and agencies, including the NHS, in the adoption of cloud computing and will deliver fundamental changes to the way that the public sector procures and operates ICT.
As cloud computing continues to become a fundamental part of many UK businesses, the Government has worked hard to create an initiative that enables the public sector to easily procure services from a catalogue of approved suppliers. The programme includes:-
- A series of framework agreements with suppliers from which public sector organisations can adopt services without needing to run a full tender or procurement process
- An online store (Digital Marketplace) that enables public sector departments to search for services that are covered by the G-Cloud frameworks

Through the initiative, Hicom will offer its Diamond.NET solution, a web-based adult and paediatric multi-disciplinary EPR system for patients with long-term conditions such as diabetes. Diamond.NET has been specifically designed to aid clinicians in their care for diabetes patients by warning of perceived problems with prescribing or blood results and giving reminders if actions have not been undertaken. It allows a significant reduction in risk to patients and errors in patient care, by minimising human error.
Hicom also provides a suite of software modules to support the medical education and career development across the multi-professional healthcare domain. Developed in association with deaneries/LETBs, royal colleges, postgraduate centres, HR and personnel departments, Hicom’s Intrepid is accessed by over 150 NHS trusts and aims to improve the quality of healthcare management, enhancing workflows and delivering substantial cost and time efficiencies.
