Dunham-Bush is manufacturing a new range of Low Surface Temperature (LST) radiators which ensure safety, in particular for the young, old and vulnerable.
Following an extensive market study, Dunham-Bush has launched its new and extended range of LST radiator products to include ‘wet floor’ units, high-output units, and tall units; all of which can be selected with case styles to be fully compliant with NHS guidelines and local authority rulings on low surface temperatures.
The range has been re-engineered to include four case styles: a wall-mounted, wet floor unit; a floor-mounted unit with inlet grille; a floor-mounted unit with bottom plinth; and tall units.
The first three styles are available with heights from 340mm to 1140mm and widths from 500mm to 2400mm. The last is available with cases up to 2400mm high in a choice of two depths and lengths from 500mm to 1200mm. Heating outputs range from less than 100W to over 3500W for larger case sizes.
Each style is available with a choice of panel or finned tube emitters. Finned tube heating elements provide a compact solution and can be manufactured to suit specific installation and capacity requirements.
The System LST range has been designed to make installation as simple as possible. Once the back-plate is positioned and fixed at site, it provides mounts for the emitters as well as the case components eliminating the need for any additional measuring. The emitter and control valves can be installed on the back-plate, and pipework can be completed in advance of the case being installed, reducing the risk of damage.
The System LST has been designed to accommodate a number of popular internal Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRV), as well as the majority of external TRVs.
All cases are supplied with pre-formed apertures for fitting external TRVs. These apertures are duplicated on each side of the case and fixed to a steel backing plate, held securely in place.
Cleaning the System LST only requires the opening of the security locks on the front panel in order to remove the grille, enabling excellent access for cleaning.
