Creative Parking Solutions has appointed Nigel Tobin as NHS partnership manager to develop and manage its presence within the healthcare sector.
Creative Parking Solutions is a member of the British Parking Association and is fully signed up to the Healthcare Parking Charter. Its aim is to help healthcare institutions provide better parking facilities which are considered fair to patients, visitors and staff, while ensuring parking is managed effectively to the benefit of everyone.
Tobin has several years’ sales and key account management experience, primarily within the NHS, including companies such as Heinz and Dr Foster, and has seen how the NHS operates from both a supplier’s viewpoint and that of an in-house department.
His role will involve developing relationships with estate and facilities managers in order to help them implement effective change to their existing car parking system.
He said: “Having worked on both sides of the fence within the healthcare sector, I understand that every trust works uniquely and therefore requires a bespoke service according to its individual pressures and requirements. Many trusts are keen to apply change, but simply don’t have the time, expertise or resource to seek out ways of doing so.”
By employing a skilled and experienced individual within this field, Creative Parking hopes to remove the burden from those trusts it works with, and form lasting partnerships that together can direct change, leading to improved patient and visitor experience.
Alun Marks of Creative Parking said: “While many people would like to see parking offered free of charge within healthcare facilities, in practise, demands for space and the costs involved make this impossible for many institutions. Parking must be managed professionally in order to monitor and control the flow of use, ensuring a fair and reliable service for all users.”
