Property, construction, and infrastructure consultancy, Pick Everard, has affirmed its commitment to supporting the UK healthcare sector with the appointment of new director and sector lead for management services, Claire Lowe.
Lowe brings 35 years experience, having held positions within the NHS and other consultancies, including involvement on a prestigious new-build private hospital in London alongside now employer, Pick Everard.
As a healthcare sector lead, her core responsibilities include lead generation and winning bids, as well as authoring the healthcare sector business and action plan that is developed in conjunction with national directors and strategic development teams.
She said: “Having worked as a sub-contractor for Pick Everard for 18 months, I was incredibly impressed by the culture and professionalism of the business and could instantly see myself being a permanent part of the team – a now reality.
“My role will incorporate various responsibilities, but my vision for our healthcare division is to become a one-stop-shop to help public and private sector health organisations forge ahead.
“Capital investment in UK healthcare estates, to address the historical backlog of maintenance issues, is critical in ensuring that buildings are fit for purpose, so making sure we offer clients innovative solutions that are attainable under the present circumstances is something we always want to maintain.”
Jon Parry, operations director, added: “Having seen ourselves how vast Claire’s healthcare knowledge is when working alongside each other for the past 18 months, it’s Claire’s overall built environment appreciation that explains her involvement in so many successful projects in the past.
“Identifying, pursuing, and securing healthcare opportunities is right at the top of our agenda moving forward as a business, which we expect to be more successful with Claire heading up the sector.”
