One of the UK's leading digital health platform providers, ADI Health, has been acquired by Canadian software for health and human services specialist, VitalHub Corporation (VitalHub), via its subsidiary, Cirencester-based Intouch with Health

ADI Health will join the existing VitalHub UK group of health-tech companies, which comprises Transforming Systems, Intouch with Health, Synopsis, Beautiful Information, MCAP, Alamac, Jayex Acute, S12 Solutions and Hicom.

Founded in 2005, ADI Health is one of the UK’s leading digital health platform providers. Its flagship product, the award-winning MyPathway, is an app-based patient portal solution, which connects patients to care services in areas including muscular-skeletal, chronic pain, motor neurone disease, and eating disorders. It can be accessed through a web browser on a computer, phone, tablet, or via the custom-built MyPathway App.

Mike Sanders, VitalHub UK CEO, said: “We are pleased to have completed the acquisition of ADI Health, as VitalHub continues its mission to create an eco-system of digital healthcare solutions that simplify the complexity of data integration in planned and unplanned care. This acquisition will further enhance our portfolio of award-winning digital healthcare solutions and enable us to further enrich care pathways for patients and clinicians alike.”

“The MyPathway solution is a leading digital health portal platform that will allow us at VitalHub, alongside Intouch with Health’s Flow Manager, to truly offer end-to-end patient flow and will likely be the first conjoined solution of its kind in the UK healthcare marketplace. We look forward to developing and growing the platform further in the UK, as part of the VitalHub family of businesses.” Lisa Riley, Vice President of Strategy and Sales, and Deputy CEO at VitalHub UK, said: “ADI Health transforms health and care services using digital technologies to ensure patients, and all those involved in their care, has access to the right digital tools.”

“MyPathway will enable VitalHub to be able to communicate with patients in their own homes, in their own time, enabling better communication, better access, and more importantly, enabling the NHS to be able to plan care much more proactively, freeing up valuable time.”

“MyPathway supports the first stage of patient flow and the ongoing continuation of patient-to-clinical team communications. It has clear and natural links to many of the existing VitalHub solutions, such as Flow Manager (Intouch with Health), digital pre-operative assessment (Synopsis), Diamond Diabetes HIS (Hicom), as well as many of our Health Intelligence solutions such as SHREWD (Transforming Systems), Patient Tracking Lists (Beautiful Information), and detailed data reporting (Alamac). Therefore, we at VitalHub feel this will offer an even wider and more conjoined end-to-end solution in supporting our customer and patients moving forward.”

Judith Clarkson, Commercial Director at ADI Health, added: “Joining the VitalHub group of companies presents an exciting opportunity to develop and expand our solutions and services for patients and clinicians. We believe this will enable us to continue our vision to provide equal, immediate and lifelong access to patient healthcare information, support and tools, throughout every step of the patient’s journey.”

“Integrating with VitalHub’s existing digital-health product suite strengthens our own portfolio and provides the opportunity to further improve patient pathways and elevate the patient experience.”
