Temperature control specialist, ICS Cool Energy, is continuing its commitment to growth with the appointment of Phil Philippou as UK sales director to its service division.
Bringing 24 years of HVAC industry experience to ICS Cool Energy, he started his career as an engineer working on large cooling plant and subsequently developed into operations leadership. Fairly early on in his career, he formed an ambition to join the sales team and never looked back. This change enhanced the sales process and Philippou set about developing process and strategies that unlocked the full UK potential of global giants that he worked with.
His innovative approach to business development elevated him to national sales manager and later to corporate client manager, where he honed his skills around organic growth for key account management.
After several years, he moved to the systems division, where he was responsible for launching a range of unitary products and then onto chiller sales with view to augmenting his knowledge on both sides of HVAC.
Commenting on his new role, he said: “I am enthused by this newly-created position and excited to be working in a technical solutions environment. In addition to leading the internal and external sales teams, I will also personally manage a number of national key accounts with view to developing a process for organic growth through group synergies, in addition to expanding our capabilities in these specific vertical markets.”
