Hochiki Europe expands European team

Company appoints regional sales manager and emergency lighting manager

Hochiki Europe has demonstrated commitment to its overseas markets with the appointment of Ilian Lukanov to the position of regional sales manager for central and eastern Europe.

In the new role, he will be responsible for key accounts and opening new sales channels.

Lukanov, who graduated from Sofia University and the Hamburg Business School, is fluent in both German and Russian. He has considerable experience in fire detection, extinguishing and emergency lighting, having worked for some well-known companies in Germany and Bulgaria.

On his appointment, he said: “I’m excited to be developing more business for Hochiki in what can be fairly-difficult markets, but I’m hoping that my experience will be evident very quickly.”

Another addition to the team, and to further enhance commitment to its FIREscape emergency lighting offering, Hochiki Europe has announced the appointment of Ian Watts as emergency lighting manager.

Watts has many years experience in both the emergency lighting and fire detection sectors. He joined the company on the 2 June to support the ongoing expansion of Hochiki’s endeavours in the lighting sector.

Commenting on both appointments, Graham Lowe, sales director of Hochiki Europe, said: “These two senior appointments are a key indication that our business is expanding. Europe is a very important region for us and since we added our award winning FIREscape product to our portfolio back in 2010, it has opened new markets for us.”
