Wireless nursecall specialist, Courtney-Thorne, has appointed Duncan Crocker to the post of UK engineering and services manager, with responsibility for managing the company’s engineering and services team.
An experienced engineering manager, his background is in both electrical and electronic engineering and also includes operational and business management roles.
His previous career includes 10 years’ experience in the space industry as part of the European Space Agency. During this period he worked as a component engineer/customer source inspector specialising in high reliability component engineering for satellite construction and launch vehicles. He also worked within Honeywell’s petro-chemical division for five years, where he was engineering service manager, specialising in bio-fuel control systems within Europe, Middle East and Africa.
His new role at Courtney-Thorne involves managing the inhouse team of fully-trained and approved field engineers who are responsible for the installation and service of all proprietary equipment across the UK. He will also be responsible for managing Courtney-Thorne’s inhouse repair facility, extended assembly capabilities, proprietary equipment testing and technical support helpline.
