After a year of strong growth and diversification of business activities, Preston-based Bespoke Healthcare has promoted Lynne Barlow to chief executive with a brief to lead the company's next phase of expansion.
Having joined the company as commercial director in October 2012, Barlow has been instrumental in financial reporting and planning as well as sales and business development, culminating in the acquisition of Sandon House Clinic in January 2014.
In the newly-formed Bespoke Healthcare Group, Bespoke Healthcare will continue to deliver NHS diagnostic services nationwide while Bespoke Surgery supplies general daycare and investigative procedures at Greater Lancashire Hospital (GLH) for North West clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) and GPs. The group also includes Sandon House Clinic.
To support Barlow, the company recently appointed Dr Sunil Angris as clinical director. His brief is to liaise with North West CCGs and local GPs to understand what healthcare services are required in the North West and how these can be best delivered to streamline patient pathways, provide care out of hospital, and reduce waiting times.
In addition, Gwam Rajiah has taken the role of chairman, with the remainder of the management team comprising Sara Rajiah, operations director; Matt Wells, corporate development director; Mushtaq Shaikh, IOM director; and Karen Bates, clinic manager for Greater Lancashire Hospital.
Barlow said: "As well as seeing increased countrywide demand for our exceptional nerve conduction and intra-operative monitoring services, we acquired Sandon House Clinic in January and are already well into the process of turning this excellent facility into a centre of excellence for the NHS in the GLH building.
"Our next step is to continue dialogue with regional CCGs and GPs so we can create a list of services that are fully tailored to their individual needs, and bring these into fruition with the highest-possible professional patient care standards and second-to-none consultants and surgeons.
"It is a privilege to take the helm of such a wonderful company, one that is truly making a difference to the delivery of patient healthcare services in the UK. The coming months and years will be a challenge, but nothing short of exceptional."
