Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust has launched a new Digital Health and Care Technology Service in Greenwich

A new service providing digital health and care support to residents in Greenwich was officially launched in April 2025.

The Digital Health and Care Technology Service aims to help people live safely, independently, and with greater peace of mind in their own homes.

Delivered by Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, the service forms part of the Healthier Greenwich Partnership’s Home First approach, which focuses on supporting residents to maintain their independence and improve quality of life through home-based care whenever appropriate.

The initiative offers a range of technology to assist daily living, including video doorbells for enhanced security, voice assistants for medication reminders, and tablets to help users stay connected with family, friends, and healthcare professionals.

Accessible to people of all ages, the service is particularly beneficial to those with disabilities, individuals recovering from hospital stays, and people living with dementia.

It has been shaped by the input of more than 250 local residents, carers, and health professionals, ensuring it meets the real needs of the Greenwich community and promotes strengths-based, person-centred care.

To support the successful delivery of the service, health and care professionals will receive dedicated training and ongoing guidance.
