Totally Health appoints Tim Gaunt as head of business development

New role will focus on developing and bringing to market unique propositions for managing long-term conditions

Totally Health has appointed Tim Gaunt to its management team as head of business development.

With more than 20 years of healthcare business development experience, he will focus on developing and bringing to market Totally Health's unique propositions for managing long-term conditions, including clinical health coaching and shared decision making.

Gaunt has worked as a senior manager for Bupa Health Funding where he programme managed and delivered a market-leading change initiative to the private healthcare market which led to significant improvement in patient care. His other roles have seen him work closely with the NHS, programme managing and delivering long-term complex PCT projects and as a senior sales leader in the pharmaceutical market.

Commenting on his appointment, he said: “I am very excited to join Totally Health. The NHS is calling for innovation, patient empowerment and self care, and clinical health coaching is proving to be a key component in helping organisations work towards these drivers while also achieving greater efficiencies, improved clinical outcomes and better patient experience.”

Wendy Lawrence, chief executive, added: “Tim is a welcome addition to the management team. His expertise and experience in working with the NHS means that he fundamentally understands the challenges emerging CCGs face and their motivation for change, enabling him to talk knowledgably to our clients and prospects about how our clinical health coaching proposition can drive the change that is critically needed to revolutionise the way healthcare is delivered.”
