Community Health Partnerships (CHP) has appointed Sweett Group as project director for the development of the new £20m healthcare centre in Dulwich, south London.

Sweett Group is also working with NHS Southwark Clinical Commissioning Group preparing the business case which is due to be completed in February 2016 with a view to starting on site in 2017.

The project will be delivered through CHP’s Public Private Partnership LIFT Programme, with investment coming from CHP and Fulcrum Group, the private sector partner.

CHP developments director, Eugene Prinsloo, said: “Sweett Group was selected due to its deep understanding of the LIFT model, team members’ specific past experience in this area of London, and a desire to generate cost efficiencies using joint appointments with the project sponsors.”

Sweett Group’s project director, Gerry Owen, added: “We are delighted to play such an integral role on this new-build healthcare development, which will make a significant difference to the health needs of the people of Dulwich and the surrounding areas.”

Due to open to the public in 2019, the health centre will provide a range of primary care, community mental health services, support for patients with long-term conditions and renal dialysis.
